Highlights from NEMB2010

USACM was an active participant in the ASME 2010 First Global Congress on NanoEngineering for Medicine and Biology (NEMB2010) was held Feb. 7-10, 2010 in Houston, TX.  The congress focused on the integration of Engineering Sciences, Mechanical Engineering and Nanotechnology in addressing fundamental problems in Biology and Medicine and in developing devices for the early detection, imaging and cure of diseases.

Approximately 300 abstracts were selected for presentation and discussion at NEMB 2010 and 475 individuals registered to attend. Abstracts were presented by the members of the engineering community, scientists and clinicians involved in the development of new tools and materials in nanomedicine and experts from industry in the field of life sciences.
