Travel awards available for WCCM9/APCOM

 

The USACM has established fellowships to support students and post-doctoral fellows to attend and present a talk at the 9th World Congress on Computational Mechanics/APCOM to be held July 19-23 in Sydney, Australia.  Each fellowship will allow travel reimbursement up to $1200.  Graduate students and Post-doctoral Fellows are eligible to apply.  Further information and instructions for submission of application may be found on the USACM website.

NEMB2010 to be held February 7-10 in Houston

 

USACM is pleased to co-sponsor the First Global Congress on NanoEngineering for Medicine and Biology will be held in Houston, Texas February 7-10. Early registration ends January 25; USACM members may register under the member rate.

 

Over 300 presentations will be made in the areas of NanoEngineering for Medical Diagnostics; NanoEngineering for Medical Therapeutics and Imaging; Nano-/Micro-fluids for Medical Diagnostics and Therapeutics; NanoEngineering for Regenerative Medicine; Manufacturing and Materials for NanoMedicine; Multiscale Modeling in Biological Systems; and Biological NanoMechanics.  A poster session and tutorials will also be offered.  More information can be found here.

 

Election of USACM Officers and Executive Council

Nominations for Secretary of USACM Executive Council and for four Members-at-Large.  Each individual member of USACM, in good standing, may submit one nomination for the office of USACM Secretary/Treasurer.  Members-at-Large may be nominated for the Secretary/Treasurer position.  Nominations should be emailed to the USACM Secretariat at info@usacm.org no later than February 15, 2010.
