Responsibilities |
The Department of Mathematics at Colorado State University seeks applicants for two postdoctoral positions to conduct a program of research under the direction of Professor Estep in the area of numerical solution of multi-physics models of coupled fusion reactions. These postdoctoral appointments are supported as part of a project funded by the Office of Science, Department of Energy. We are seeking candidates with backgrounds that include numerical methods for multi-physics problems, fusion physics, and/or high performance computing. Eligibility requirements include a Ph.D. at the time of appointment in any area of engineering, mathematics, and science and the ability to program in C++/FORTRAN/ and/or PYTHON is required. Successful applicants will be expected to collaborate closely with research scientists at Tech-X Corporation in Boulder, CO and several Department of Energy Laboratories. The postdoctoral stipend may be supplemented with teaching of up to one course per semester, subject to mutual agreement.
